Mass Grave Of 100 Beheaded Bodies Found Near Mosul

MEP: The Iraqi military has discovered about 100 beheaded bodies in a mass grave in a town recently liberated from the Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) terrorist group near the strategic, northern city of Mosul.

The forces came across the grave in the School of Agriculture in the town of Hammam al-Alil, spokesman for Iraq’s Joint Military Command Brig. Gen. Yahya Rasool said in a statement cited by AP.

Most were reduced to skeletons, he added. The grave was found about 14km from the southern outskirts of Mosul.

“A forensics team from Baghdad would examine the remains at the site on Tuesday” he noted.

Daesh terrorists and all those involved in the atrocities in Mosul should be hold responsible, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said following the news about the latest mass grave.

The ISIS terror group has carried out several massacres since it swept into northern and central Iraq in the summer of 2014, often documenting them with photos and videos circulated online.

The JOC announced in a statement on Monday that Iraqi forces had liberated 64 regions in the northern province of Nineveh — of which Mosul is the capital — and killed a total of 202 terrorists over the past five days.
