Man Arrested In Jawzjan For Raping His Daughter
MEP: Jawzjan provincial police arrested a man over the alleged sexual assault of his daughter in Aqcha district.
Brigadier General Rahmatullah Turkistani, Jawzjan Police Chief told the Middle East Press, the man is a resident of Aqcha district who is currently under police interrogation.
The police while did not disclose the identity of the man, said the case has been sent to prosecution for further investigation.
Turkistani says the girl and her mother were taken to provincial caring center.
Sexual abuse of girls and boys is one of the major social problems in the country, which according to statistics provided by women’s rights organizations, the problem has increased annually.
