Leader: The British Version Of Shia Islam And American Version Of Sunni Islam Are Two Blades Of Same Pair Of Scissors
MEP: On the occasion of the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and Imam Jaafar Sadeq (RA), Iranian authorities and officials, foreign guests participating in the 30th International Islamic Unity Conference and ambassadors of Muslim countries have met with Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on Saturday.
Islamic Revolution Leader said on a meeting with Iranian officials and guests of Islamic Unity Conference: “Today, Islamic world suffer from great tribulations, and the solution is Islamic unity. If we unite and move towards Islamic objectives unanimously, U.S.A and Zionist regime could not dominate other nations.”
“Two wills are in conflict in the region: unity’s will and schism’s will, if we unite the situation will not be like this and Muslims would reach glory. Today Muslims from Myanmar to Africa are being killed, some of them by Boko Haram and other by Buddhists. Americanized Sunnis and Shiites are two edges of scissors that turn Muslims against each other,” he added.
Ayatollah Khamenei said the British version of Shia Islam and the American version of Sunni Islam, which pit Muslims against one another, are “two blades of the same pair of scissors.”
The British policy of “divide and rule” is seriously being pursued by the enemies of Islam, the Leader said.
Ayatollah Khamenei added that worldwide Muslim unity, the most important type of readiness needed by the Muslim world, would abort the conspiracy to consign the issue of Palestine to oblivion.
