KABUL: (Middle East Press) Taliban militants have strongly condemned the killing and burning of Farkhunda and they have vowed to punish all those involved in assassinating Farkhunda in the Capital Kabul.
Zabiullah Mujahid, spokesman for Taliban group has tweeted on his twitter page stating that Afghan Taliban in a statement have condemned the brutally killing of a woman in Kabul and vowed severe punishment for those guilty.
“We have decided to give severe punishment to those who are behind the killing of the innocent woman, provoked people for their sinister designs, and misused Quran for personal motives to avoid repetition of such incidents in future.” Mujahid added.
Farkhunda, 27, an Afghan girl was beaten to death and her body was burned by angry mob after some people accused her for burning a copy of the holy Quran.
While, investigation of the security agencies as well as Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs reveal that the accusation was untrue.
Nearly 18 people including few police men have been arrested in relation to the deadly murdering.
