Hamid Karzai warns against Afghan civilian casualtiesMEP: Former President Hamid Karzai, has warned against attacks by foreign troops in the country which result in civilian casualties and highlighted it as “offensive”.

The press office of Hamid Karzai issued a statement on Sunday strongly condemned the aerial attack of Americans in the district of Khoshamand in Paktika province.

“Attacks on civilians, increased concerns and will face serious reaction by people” the statement said.

Hamid Karzai is one of the major critics of the US military operations in the country and at the end of his presidency refused to sign Kabul – Washington security pact.

The report comes as on Friday August 12, a US air strike in Khoshamand district of Paktika province targeted a house in which at least 13 members of one family were killed, including women and children.

So far, NATO and US military forces stationed in Afghanistan, have not shown reaction against this attack.

This also comes as according to the decision of Barack Obama, US President, the country’s military operations in Afghanistan on insurgent positions, particularly Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) has increased.
