KABUL (MEP) – The Breshna Co, Known as Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) says that the installation of 2nd electricity circuit in South Salang is ongoing and Kabul power will be reconnected by the end of today.

The first circuit was installed yesterday and the second is going to be installed tonight.

The DABS released a newsletter saying, “the installation of second circuit has begun just hours ago, therefore, electricity has again been cut to Kabul, Parwan, Kapisa, Laghman Maidan Wardak, Nangarhar, Ghazni Logar and Paktia provinces.”

Despite the problems in the area, technical teams from the Breshna Co. are trying to complete the installation of both circuits by the end of today, DABS said.

The DABS further says about 8 megawatts of imported electricity will be reconnected to Kabul and other provinces by the installation of two circuits in Salang.
