KABUL (MEP) – The US president, while considering the city of Chicago more insecure than Afghanistan, stressed his country’s homeland security.

Donald Trump said at a Security Summit that Afghanistan is safer than Chicago city, MEP reports.

“Afghanistan is safer than Chicago,” Trump said in a security meeting among the US Police Chiefs.

He stressed that homeland security should be a priority.

The statement comes while the US has withdrew part of its troops from Syria and Zalmay Khalilzad, the US special envoy for reconciliation in Afghanistan, in negotiation with the Taliban had also spoken about the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan.
