Kabul-Baghlan highway opened to traffic

Kabul-Baghlan highway having been closed yesterday evening due to the Taliban attack over a security post in Kilagi area of Dushi city in Baghlan was reopened to traffic this morning.

“Taliban were pushed back from Chaharshanba area in Bazar-e Kilagi this morning” Zabihullah Shoja, the Balghlan police spokesman, told The Middle East Press

He added after the Taliban defeat, Kabul-Baghlan highway was opened to traffic and Taliban fled to nearby mountains.

“Talinan received some casualties, but due to ongoing operation the exact number is impossible” Shoja added

This comes as yesterday, the Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mojahed said two security posts belonging to Afghan security forces were controlled by Taliban.
