Lieberman stated these statements while Nasrallah in his speech had said, “We’ll soon finish in Syria and we’ll be available to take care of you (Israel).” Nasrallah addressed America and the Zionist regime in a threatening tone in his rare public appearance among Shiites in Lebanon on Ashura Day and said, “We fought against Israel in the past and we will continue to battle the Zionist regime. Those who think that we will retreat or back away, should know that this will never happen and we will be victorious.”

Yisrael Beytenu chairperson, Avigdor Liberman issued a grave warning, in response to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah’s rare public appearance.

Liberman spoke about Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah before entering the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.

“Beyond the recent wave of terror, I must note that I’m very troubled by the new writing on the wall that appeared last weekend, and I mean the words of Nasrallah,” said Liberman.

“Whoever didn’t understand, the meaning of what Nasrallah said is ‘we’ll soon finish in Syria and we’ll be available to take care of you (Israel),'” said the former foreign minister. Hezbollah has been fighting to prop up the Syrian government against rebel forces.

“I really estimate that within a year, one way or another, world powers will reach an agreement or decision in Syria, and we must take Nasrallah’s words seriously.”

Liberman remarked that he does not have confidence that the government will properly take care of the situation should a third Lebanese war take place.

“I think that a government that demonstrates helplessness, against Hamas in Gaza and also against the terror wave in Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem now, is a government that isn’t able to deal with the threats and isn’t able to deal with Hezbollah and the danger emanating from there. Therefore there’s room for worry.”

The Yisrael Beytenu head said “I hope that the prime minister will address Nasrallah’s words and the security system’s conclusions (about them) in today’s Committee. I hope that the government understands that this is writing on the wall. We will demand that they present what they intend to do.”
