Iraq’s People’s Mobilization: Commander Soleimani, Most Prominent Advisor In Iraq War Against Daesh

MEP: Ahmad Al-Asadi, official spokesman for Iraq’s People’s Mobilization, described Commander Soleimani’s presence as necessary in liberating Mosul, saying that commander Soleimani is the greatest advisor who has assisted Iraq’s government in the war against Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) terrorist group.

Al-Asadi added that Haj Qasem Soleimani is among top – ranking advisors of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who is present in Iraq upon invitation and agreement from Iraq’s government.

People’s Mobilization spokesman with an emphasis on Soleimani’s presence in Mosul’s mission said that direct presence of commander Soleimani in offering guidance on the liberation process of Nineveh’s capital is necessary, and this act is carried out in co-operation and agreement with Iraq’s government, People’s Mobilization, and other involved parties. Al-Asadi emphasized that Commander Soleimani will be present if he feels it exigent after his and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces’ evaluations.

He, pointing to the Iranian advisors’ roles in Iraq, said that Iranian advisors, who were present after Iraq’s invitation, played vital roles in most of the missions in which People’s Mobilization participated since they offered strong viewpoints and important advice based on their experiences and capabilities.

Al-Asadi, confirming the presence of People’s Mobilization in Mosul’s liberation fight, said that according to Iraq’s prime minister’s decision, presence of People’s Mobilization in liberating Nineveh is definite, especially after it has been described as a major body in military structure of the government. As a result, any word on its presence or absence in the mission does not make sense since it is an indispensable part of the Iraq’s armed forces. Official spokesman for Iraq’s People’s Mobilization said that this organization has great experience in liberating many tracts of Iraq’s territory, whereby its presence in missions becomes a necessity,  and few views giving ethnic or religious attributions to these missions do not count as valid oppositions to their presence in wars.
