Iraqi Forces Kill 126 ISIL Terrorists In Mosul Operation

MEP: Following liberating the city of Mosul in northern Iraq, a total of 126 ISIL or Daesh terrorists have been killed during one and a half month long operations by the Iraqi army, anti-terrorism forces, and police, an official said on Monday.

Abdel Wahab al-Saedi, commander of the anti-terrorism forces said 40 of the terrorists were killed as they were trying to block the advancement of Iraqi forces in the city’s eastern regions on Wednesday.

The Iraqi Defense Ministry also announced that 54 militants were killed during government airstrikes in the city’s southern neighborhoods.

The country’s troops also managed to destroy several terrorist vehicles in the attacks.

Iraqi military intelligence also announced earlier that 32 Takfiris were killed during airstrikes which targeted terrorist positions located to the west of the city.

On October 17 Iraqi army soldiers, backed by pro-government fighters from Popular Mobilization Units and Kurdish Peshmerga forces, launched an operation to retake Mosul from the Daesh terrorists.

So far more than 700 terrorists have been killed and major parts of the city are recaptured by the government forces. The operation continues until full liberation of the city.
