How And Why The Role Of Saudi Princes In The Mecca Stampede Was Revealed
KABUL: (Middle East Press) The Lebanese al-Dyar newspaper disclosed information indicating that Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud, the deputy crown prince and the Defense Minister is directly culpable in the Mecca’s stampede tragedy.
The pictures that spread in the aftermath of for Thursday Stampede in Mina corroborated reports that the Saudi prince’s large entourage causing panic among the pilgrims which led to the unprecedented carnage through decades.
But this question comes to mind why and how this information is revealed and spread fast despite the fact the Saudi officials don’t authorize neither the Arab nor Islamic media to cover the Hajj event and only western media outlets which accepted Riyadh’s red lines are allowed to broadcast the annual Islamic ritual in order to make influence on global public opinion and eventually control it.
In the recent days, the Saudi government could hide the other catastrophic accidents’ death toll in Mecca like the hotel that caught in massive fire, the train incident and the landslide that killed tens of thousands of Pilgrims.
Why this tragedy happened in the light of the fact that Muhammad bin Nayef — the Saudi heir apparent and Mohammad bin Salman’s arch rival — is responsible to supervise this year’s Hajj event? Is the reason lies in Saudi officials’ calamitous mismanagement, lack of control and proper planning?
