First Deaths of American Soldiers in the New Year
Two US soldiers were killed in the first days of the new solar year in Afghanistan.
According to the Middle East Press; NATO has confirmed that two US troops were killed when carrying out their mission.
Although NATO did not publish more details on this issue but, the New York Times reported that the two soldiers were killed in Gul Tapah District of Kunduz Province when they were doing their task.
This is the first casualty of foreign troops deployed in Afghanistan in the new year; however, since the beginning of 2019, including these two soldiers, four US soldiers have been killed.
US troop casualties are taking place in Afghanistan, when the fifth round and the longest round of talks between US and armed Taliban representatives in Qatar ended late last year, and both sides agreed on some of the issues, including the withdrawal of US troops and guarantees for fighting Terrorism.
