Fire In France’s Rouen Bar Kills At Least 13
MEP: A fire during a birthday party at a bar in the French city of Rouen has killed at least 13 people and several others wounded, authorities said.
The blaze in the Cuba Libre bar began in the basement room around midnight on Saturday, Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said.
The Paris-Normandie newspaper reported that firefighters responded to the emergency, and have declared 13 people dead so far.
The victims were reportedly between ages 18 and 25.
France has been on high alert following a spate of fatal terror attacks. About two weeks ago, two jihadist attackers killed a priest in Rouen.
