Dozens Of Kurds Abducted By ISIL Terrorists in Syria
KABUL: (Middle East Press) The ISIL Takfiri militants group have reportedly kidnapped over dozens of Kurdish civilians from an area in Syria’s northwestern province of Aleppo as they continue committing crimes against humanity in the regions under their control, local sources said.
The abduction took place late on Tuesday after the militants abducted 30 Kurdish civilians, mostly women and children, from the village of Qulan, which lies southeast of Syria’s northern border town of Kobani.
Qulan village seemingly divides parts of northern Syria controlled by ISIL Takfiris and Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG).
Also in neighboring Iraq, Kurdish Peshmerga forces are tightening the noose around ISIL militants in the northern oil-rich province of Kirkuk.
Kurdish Peshmerga forces launched separate operations early on Wednesday in Daquq town, located approximately 180 kilometers north of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, as well as in the town of Tuz Khurmatu, situated 175 kilometers (110 miles) north of Baghdad, killing or injuring a large number of ISIL Takfiris in the process.
Peshmerga Commander Sheikh Jafar Sheikh Mustafa said his forces have surrounded 10 villages on the outskirts of Daquq as well as 12 others on the margins of Tuz Khurmatu.
He said that Kurdish troopers have already eliminated five villages of ISIL extremists, adding that heavy exchanges of gunfire are going on between the two groups.
