ISIS-burnsMEP: At least 19 Kurdish women have reportedly set on fire by Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) terrorist group in Iraq’s northern city of Mosul on Thursday.

Kurdish news agency ARA News reported citing local activist Abdulla al-Malla that the incident occurred when the extremists locked 19 women in iron cages in central Mosul and later burned them to death in front of hundreds of people after the victims refused to serve as sex slaves.

“The 19 girls were burned to death, while hundreds of people were watching. Nobody could do anything to save them,” an eyewitness said on condition of anonymity.

The terror group captured the country in 2014. Around 400,000 residents managed to flee the territory, but tens of thousands of the local Yazidi population couldn’t escape. In recent years, many representatives of the religious minority have been murdered, abducted and raped.

The militants have been committing vicious crimes against all ethnic and religious communities in Iraq, including Shias, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians and others.
