Criminal Offenses Reported In Western Kabul

Murder in KabulMEP: Crime and outrage in the Afghan capital has become a major concern and the issue has currently increased more than past in the western part of the city.

In addition to stealing cars and belongings of the houses, killing of innocent people, especially workers, laborers in this part of the capital in recent times has been of concern to the people of this region.

Mohammad Arif, a resident of Chahar Qaleh area in an interview with the Middle East News Agency said: “In the last three days two laborers were killed in Abbas Qali area.”

According to him, the police came on his own and photographed the area dramatically and takes no other follow-ups about the killings and other criminal offenses.

He said with complaints of police work, especially the Western Kabul police, did not have the necessary competence and efficiency in providing security.

Nasrin, another resident in Dar-ul-Aman area says “ever since the parliament moved to the area, the police just watching their problems and crimes.”

She added that upsurge in crime and murder of innocent people have created fear and panic among the people of the West have created and police has taken no action in this regard.

This comes as this morning around 3:30 AM a laborer was killed by unknown gunmen in the area between Abbas Qali and Qale Chatgar.

This is the second murder in this way taking place in the sixth district of security and several other areas in the past few days and nothing has been done by the police.
