Commander of President Ghani’s House Guards Dies
The commander of President Ghani`s house guards died at the hospital after several days of injury.
Abdul Ghaffar Ahmadzai injured in an explosion a few days ago and was taken to the hospital.
Presidential Palace released a newsletter saying, Ahmadzai died at 400-bed hospital in Kabul.
Abdul Ghafar Ahmadzai, the commander of President Ashraf Ghani’s house guards, was wounded in a roadside bomb blast in PD16 of Kabul city a few days ago.
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani went to the 400-bed hospital to pay homage to his bodyguard and to join his funeral.
The armed Taliban claimed responsibility for the bomb attack on Abdul Ghaffar Ahmadzai`s car.
Zabihullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the group said in a tweet that the explosion occurred on Thursday.
