Karzai Re-attacks US, Pakistan

KABUL (MEP) – Afghan ex-president once again considers the United States and Pakistan as the initiators of the war in Afghanistan, saying the Pakistani intelligence department, in collaboration with the United States, began killing in Afghanistan.

Hamid Karzai at a gathering in Kabul today, July 18, said that US should stop behind the scenes deals with neighboring countries.

He argued that Washington and Islamabad were involved in the Afghan war and began working with each other on extremism and killings in Afghanistan.

The former president stated that the peace plans and behind the scenes deals should not be in a way that the people be ignored “the case that has taken place so far.”

Karzai considered the people of Afghanistan the main owners of peace in the country and called for the lack of negative competitions of regional and world countries for making this wish possible.

Meanwhile, the former president, referring to Iran and its tensions with the United States, stated, “the United States must win the confidence of the neighboring countries of Afghanistan, including Iran, in relation to the peace process.”

He believes Iran should be ensured of Afghan peace, and the relationship between Tehran and Washington should not have a negative impact on this process.

These declarations comes while the 2nd round of intra-Afghan talks is scheduled to take place in near future.
