Clashes going on in one kilometer distance from Emem Saheb in Kunduz  

Heavy Clashes between the Taliban and the security forces is going on in one kilometer distance from in Emem Saheb city of Kunduz.

“Taliban have moved forward on the battlefield in Aghay Bai, Bakhmal Kucha and Naw Abad villages located only in one kilometer from capital city, they have settled in local residents homes and fighting with the security forces” Ghuraishi Aman-u-ddin, Emam Saheb city governor, told the Middle East Press

He added over the past 24 hours clash, 20 armed Talibs and 8 security force have been killed.

Meanwhile, Amiri Safiullah, Kunduz provincial council member, said in villages where the battle is going on more than 5oo families had to flee their homes while received some casualties and loss.

Amiri added the Taliban have moved in local residents homes using them as stronghold so lots of homes have been destroyed.

As he said some governmental staff`s residing homes were set fire on.

Amiri as the Samangan provincial council member and the other local officials said fresh security forces will be surged to the battlefield but express worry that Taliban is also sending more fighters to the war there.

As sources said the battle in Emam Saheb began 4 am yesterday and after 24 hours it is still going on.
