Bahrain Serious On Decision To Deport Sheikh Issa Qassem

MEP: Bahraini intelligence officer, who had published the news of the execution of the three youths, three days before their execution, has now announced the decision of Al-Khalifa to send Sheikh Issa Qassim into exile.

Amjad Taha, Bahraini intelligence officer wrote in his Twitter account that Ayatollah Issa Qassim will be soon deported from Bahrain.

According to the Middle East Panorama, this Bahraini intelligence officer previously reported the news of the execution of three young men named Sami Mushaima, Ali al-Singace and Abbas al-Samea, on his Twitter page, three days before their execution.

Bahraini opposition groups have warned the government that any attack on Sheikh Issa Qassim, detention or exile, will be followed by demonstrations and mass protests.

Last week, Bahraini court postponed the trial of Sheikh Issa Qassim due to the fear of popular rage. Initially it was postponed to February 12 and then in the new decision, the date was changed to February 27.

Following the postponement of the trial which observers claim that it is due to Al-Khalifa’s fear of people’s uproar, especially as it is nearing the sixth anniversary of Bahrain’s revolution that began on February 14, people still came to the streets again to defend Sheikh Issa Qassim to death and demanded the trial of the Sheikh to be cancelled.
