Baghlan – Kunduz Highway Reopened To Traffic

MEP: Security officials in Baghlan say after the seven-hour clash, Baghlan – Kunduz highway has been reopened to traffic on Wednesday.

Noorhabib Gulbahari, Baghlan police chief told the Middle East Press, as a result of the seven-hour battle, the armed Taliban attacks in Hussain Khel area of Pul-e-Khumri city was folded back.

He said the highway was opened to traffic at 1:00 pm in the afternoon, and travelers have no problem in traveling on this route.

The armed Taliban also suffered casualties during the clashes, but no exact figures were released.

The opposition group did not comment on the report so far.
