size0KABUL: (Middle East Press) Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) launched fresh military operations across the country in which at least 53 Taliban militants were killed and 57 others wounded, Ministry of Defense (MoD) announced on Tuesday morning.

MoD added that the operations were carried out by Afghan National Army, Afghan National Police and personnel from the National Directorate of Security (NDS) – Afghanistan’s intelligence agency in past 24 hours, however MoD did not release details regarding the location of the incidents.

According to MoD, three other Taliban rebels have detained during these operations.

At least 10 Afghan soldiers were also killed in the militants’ fire.

The anti-government militants are yet to comment regarding the report.
