Al-Fayyadh: Popular Mobilization Is The Best Solution After Eliminating ISIS

MEP: Falih al-Fayyadh, the Chairman of the Popular Mobilization Committee says the presence of his forces is a good solution for the challenges after elimination of ISIS (Daesh) terrorist group.

Al-Fayyadh, also the Iraqi National Security advisor emphasized that the Popular Mobilization Committee is not a problem for the country and there’s no reason to panic.

They are preventive security forces and they provide help for the country to confront the problems after eliminating ISIS, he said.

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL/ISIS/Daesh) is a Salafi jihadist unrecognised state and militant group gained global notoriety in early 2014 when it drove Iraqi government forces out of key cities in its Western Iraq offensive, followed by its capture of Mosul and the Sinjar massacre. Its adoption of the name Islamic State and its idea of a caliphate have been widely criticised, with the United Nations, various governments, and mainstream Muslim groups rejecting its statehood.
