Afghanistan Surpasses 1500 Infections from Coronavirus

KABUL (MEP) – Authorities in Afghanistan have confirmed 89 new coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours bringing the total to 1552, the MoPH said Sunday.

Ministry of Public Health has announced that the new cases are recorded in Kandahar (13), Ghazni (13), Paktia (11), Paktika (9), Balkh (8), Badghis (6), Kabul (6), Nangarhar (4), Herat (4), Laghman (3), khost (3) and Baghlan (1) Provinces.

The total number of coronavirus cases in the country now stands at 1552.

Of that number, a total of 207 people have recovered and at least 50 others have died due to virus.

After Khost reports first infection, now Nuristan remain the only province that has confirmed no Coronavirus cases so far.
