MoI Reveals Drug Smugglers

KABUL (MEP) – The Ministry of Interior Affairs has released a list of ten drug smugglers who were involved in distributing drugs to the capital Kabul’s addicts.

The Minister of Interior Affairs Massoud Andarabi, in a post on Twitter noted that serious measures have been taken against the smuggling and distribution of drugs in Kabul since three months ago.

According to him, in addition to the ongoing anti-narcotics activities, smuggling and distribution networks in Kabul have been busted and dozens of people have been arrested in connection with them.

“Due to the wide range of financial, physical and psychological harms of this phenomenon to individuals and society and its impact on the cycle of crimes, violence and threats against the citizens of the country, the Ministry of Interior is determined to do more than before against the causes and individuals involved,” Andarabi said. “This trade is illegal.”

According to MoI Andarabi the smugglers list is as follows:

1- Samim, son of Faqir Shah

2- Azizuddin, son of M. Qasim

3- Farid, son of Khodadad

4- Matin, son of Abdul Rashid

5- Obaidullah, son of Khairullah

6- Najibullah, son of Mujib

7- jama-Murad, son of Dawlat Makhdom

8- Sayed Jan

9- Toryali

10- Shir, son of Aziz

Another 10 drug smugglers have also been detained by the anti-narcotics police.

According to the MoI’s Deputy for Counter-Narcotics, 23 major drug traffickers, 68 public service officials, 96 women, 9 children and eight foreign nationals have been arrested in connection with drug cases in the past year.
