Afghan Women’s National Football Team To Play Against India

MEP: In the first meeting of the South Asian competitions, the country’s national women’s team will leave to compete against the national team of India this afternoon.

National women’s team in the second group of the tournament is pooled with India and Bangladesh teams.

The remarkable point about women’s football national team in the tournament is the presence of girls who live in European countries and the US which, like its men’s national team, combined their original uses of players working in foreign countries.

Kelly Landes, head coach of Afghan women’s football team is a US citizen, said “although we have formed the team with little time we had, but will endeavor to obtain the best result.”

Regarding the preparatory team, she added, “our team is ready psychologically and this year compared to previous years, the players and the quality of our games will be different.”

Meanwhile, Shabnam Mubarez, Afghan women’s national team captain, said our team did not win the match in 2014, but now with the changes in the team and the coaching staff created, relative to the previous year, will play a different game.

The women’s national football team will head in the second match against Bangladesh national team on Thursday.
