Woman Stabbed To Death In Sar-e-Pul For Doing Shopping

MEP: local officials in northern Sar-e-Pul province say a woman was brutally murdered in Lati district by a number of armed Taliban.

Zabihullah Amani, spokesman for the governor of Sar-e-Pul told the Middle East Press, the woman, Sakinah was stabbed to death last night.

The woman had gone to the market to buy her requirements when the armed Taliban killed her on charges of ‘doing shopping’ as the group considers shopping of women an “infidelity act” in the area, said Mr Amani.

The area of Lati has been under the control of armed Taliban since ages.

This is not the first time that the armed Taliban assassinate women in the country. Previously the group has killed many women in Northern country on charges of going out.
