Baghdad Second Car Bomb Kills Seven, Injuries Eleven
MEP: At least seven people were killed and 11 others wounded after a car bomb exploded at an area to the north of the Iraqi capital of Baghdad district of Rashidiya.
Tuesday’s blast took place when a suicide bomber blew his car up at a security checkpoint, according to security and medical sources speaking to Reuters.
There was no immidate claim of responsibility for the attack, but such attacks mostly claim by Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) terrorists.
The attack came just hours before another car bomb killed at least 25 people and injured dozens of others at a vegetable market in Rashidiyah.
The last major bombing occurred July 3. Claiming almost 300 lives, it has become Iraq’s deadliest in recent history.
