Israeli Forces Arrest Senior Hamas Leader in West Bank

81806167-70244398KABUL: (Middle East Press) The Israeli Regime forces have arrested one of the senior leaders of Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in West Bank.

The occupying forces stormed the residence of “Sheikh Hassan Yousuf” on Tuesday morning in ‘Baytunya’ area of western ‘Raamullah’ and forcefully arrested him.

“At least five military patrol vehicle belonging to the occupying forces surrounded our house and arrested my father, who had participated in an operation that dozens of Israeli military were detained.” Said Owais his son.

Hassan Yousuf, 61, a senior Hamas leader in the West Bank and is a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council, was released last June in an Israeli jail after spending about a year.

He had been arrested more than 15 times in previous years.

The detention of the leader comes as Al-Quds Intifada entered its twentieth day and the clashes between Palestinian and the occupation forces to protest the hostile policies and their frequent attacks on Al-Aqsa mosque continue.
