9 New Cabinet Members to Start Taking Oath Today
KABUL: (Middle East Press) Nine members of the cabinet who have received confidence vote from the House of Walesi Jirga last week will take oath today, said Nazifullah Salarzai, spokesman for President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
The nine members of the new cabinet include eight ministers and Chief of the National Directorate of Security (NDS).
They are:
- Rahmatullah Nabil Chief for the National Directorate of Security (NDS)
- Eklil Hakimi Minister for Finance Ministry
- Ferozuddin Feroz Minister for the Ministry of Public Health
- Noor-ul-Haq Ulomi Minister for Interior Ministry
- Salahuddin Rabbani Minister for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Sayed Hussain Alemi Balkhi Minister for the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation
- Daud Shah Saba Minister for the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum
- Nasir Durrani Minister for the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development
- Faiz Mohammad Osmani Minister for the Ministry of Hajj & Religious Affairs
After taking their oath, the eight new ministers and the Director of NDS, will start their work, and will put an end to the acting ministers.
Presidential palace states that these nominees will be introduced to the House of Representatives after MPs return from their leave.
