61 Taliban Insurgents Killed in ANSF Operations
KABUL: (Middle East Press) Afghan National Security Forces launched fresh military operations across the country, as a result 61 Taliban insurgents were killed, 28 wounded and three others arrested, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced Sunday.
The operations were conducted in the past 24 hours in Takhar, Kunduz, Faryab, Sar-e-Pul, Kandahar, Zabul, Kapisa, Oruzgan, Maidan Wardak, Paktiya, Herat and Helmand provinces, Mol said.
Afghan security forces have also discovered and confiscated light and heavy rounds ammunition during these operations.
During the same 24 hour period, Afghan National Police discovered and defused 13 different types of IEDs placed by enemies of Afghanistan for destructive activities in Khost and Helmand provinces.
