22 Welfare Projects Worth 43 Million AFG Inaugurated In Baghlan

MEP: At least 22 welfare projects in six districts of Baghlan province have inaugurated after completion.

Engineer Abdul Rab Hakimi, Head of Rural Rehabilitation and Development of Baghlan in an interview with the Middle East Press said, the projects have been implemented during the past month.

He said the projects include construction of 1,100 meters of retaining wall, gravelling of 1.64 km of roads, construction of 8160 km of water supply network, seven water storage, two small projects of hydro power with a capacity of 30.5 kilowatts, drilled of 37 wells hole, drilled of 2 deep wells, construction of a cable bridge with 50 meters length and the construction of a clinic.

Hakimi added the projects have been implemented in the districts of Burka, Nahrin, Doshi, Dahana-e-Ghori, Pul-e-Hesarak and Pul-e Khumri city through the National Solidarity Program.

The total cost of these projects by ten percent share of the population equal to 43 million and 876 thousand Afghanis that has been paid by the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Hakimi noted.

According to the source, with the completion of these projects, the environmental problems of 4748 families will be solved and will have access to necessary facilities.

Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) officials said Baghlan province, about 200 projects in various sectors in the province is under production, will be put into operation soon.
