’16 Months Ago Our Son Arrested By Military And Yet We Have No News Of Him’
MEP: Muhammad al-Mahdi, a young Shia, was arrested by military rangers 16 month ago. His parents have no news of him and want their son to be released.
At a press conference in Media House of Karachi, parents of a young Shiite, Muhammad al-Mahdi, known as the Brave announced: “16 month ago, military rangers have arrested our son, Muhammad al-Mahdi. They didn’t allow us to visit him.”
Muhammad’s parents asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Army Chief Gen Raheel Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Chief Minister of Sindh Province Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Justice of Sindh and military rangers’ commander Major General Bilal Akbar to release their son from military custody.
Muhammad al-Mahdi’s mother cried and asked military and political leaders to release his son who was arrested in Razavieh Society in Karachi 16 month ago and so far there is no news of him. She wants know why is he under arrest? And why did military rangers keep him in prison?
According to the law, military can’t hold a person in jail more than 90 days. His father Mr. Jafar al-Mahdi asked military and political leaders to release his son immediately.
