12 Civilians Released from Taliban Prison in Uruzgan: MoD
KABUL (MEP) – ANA Forces in a targeted operation destroyed a Taliban prison in Uruzgan province and rescued 12 civilians.
The operation was launched in the Shahid Asas district of Uruzgan province.
Ministry of Defense (MoD) released a newsletter today Monday, December 16, saying; during the operation a Taliban prison was destroyed and 12 civilians have been freed.
Three armed Taliban members were killed in the operation, five were arrested and 310kg of drugs and a motorcycle were seized by security forces, MoD said.
The armed Taliban have not commented so far.
