The incident took place in Achin district of Nangarhar province which is a stronghold of the militant group in the country’s east.

This comes as ISIL had captured four members of uprising forces during a gun battle and later beheaded them.

Haji Ghalib Mujahid, governor of Achin district said the uprising forces had five members of ISIL in their custody and did the same to revenge.

“They beheaded four of them and put their dead bodies on the side of the road,” said Mujahid.

According to Mujahid, two of the four militants belonged to Tirah valley while the two others were from Orakzai Agency of Pakistan.

15 others including five uprising forces and 10 ISIL fighters killed during the clashes. The uprising fighters took away the killed bodies of their members with themselves.

Bordering Pakistan, Nangarhar in recent months has become a stronghold for ISIL, a group which mainly operates in Iraq and Syria.
