Two Underage Sisters Are Missing Since A-Week In Takhar

MEP: Two young girls went missing from one week onward in the city of Taloqan, capital of Takhar Province and so far there is no news of their fate.

The two girls who are in their 14 and 15 years of age, are said to be of a poor family and their father has turned into a mentally person after the incident.

Members of the Takhar provincial council criticized the poor performance in the conduct of police officials and saying, obstruction and carelessness cause such harrowing incidents.

Takhar police also confirmed the disappearance of the two girls, but justify it in another way.

Takhar police chief Noor Mohammad Hakimi told the Middle East Press, so far it is not exactly clear whether these girls are abducted, but he emphasized they might have run away.

He said police have arrested three people in connection with the case and are trying to trace the two sisters.

But Sayed Salahuddin Burhani, a member of provincial council denies the remarks by Takhar police chief saying, “If police have not been able to trace the girls during all this time, how does he Judge on whether they have been kidnapped or run away.”

The report comes as nearly a month ago Takhar police arrested a girl with a number of people who were used her as ‘sex slave’.
