Two Teenagers Shot, Critically Wounded in New York

New York ShootingKABUL: (Middle East Press) Two American teenagers have been shot and seriously wounded near the Brooklyn Museum in New York, according to police officials.

The incident occurred Sunday evening in the vicinity of Eastern Parkway and Washington Avenue. The museum was close at the time of the shooting. Press TV reported.

The victims, believed to be around 15 years old, were transformed to New York Methodist Hospital. They are expected to survive the wounds, investigators said.

Police is investigating the shooting. No arrests have been made yet.

In another incident in the city, a suspect opened fire on a 20-year-old man from his car and left the scene on Saturday.

The victim, who suffered a wound to the side of his neck, was transferred to King County Hospital. He was said to be in stable condition.

About 4.5 million firearms are sold annually in the United States at a cost of 2 to 3 billion dollars.

Over 6,000 people have been killed and over 13,000 people have been injured by gun in the country since January 1, 2015, according to the Gun Violence Archive.
