Two Mine Planters Killed In Own Explosion
MEP: At least two skilled mine planters were killed in a bomb blast planted by themselves in Sangin district of Helmand province.
A statement by the Ministry of Defense said Monday that Mullah Sharif Uddin affiliated with Sher-Agha group along with one of his colleagues yesterday have been victims of their own landmines in Pooza village.
According to another report, as a result of air operations by security forces in the village of Khoza Khel in the districts of Achin, Khogyani, Kerta Toot and China of eastern Nangarhar province in which at least 17 armed Taliban were killed, six wounded and one vehicle belonging to the group has been destroyed.
Elsewhere, in another joint military operation by the national defense and security forces in the south of the country, six armed Taliban including their commander known as Farooq was killed and three others wounded.
The armed Taliban group are yet to comment on the report.
