KABUL: (MEP) An official said on Monday morning that two female vaccinators were shot dead by armed men in southern Kandahar city.
The victims faced the attack in Police district four of the city. The official said one of the attackers were killed by the security forces while another was injured.
Motive behind the attack was unclear; also there was no immediate claim of responsibility from Taliban or ISIL.
However, Kandahar is considered a volatile province and Taliban have had targeted police vaccinators in the past.
