The blasts are the latest attacks as Iraqi forces struggle to force out Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) terrorists from Falluja, west of Baghdad.

The first attack occurred when a car packed with explosive targeted a commercial street of Baghdad al-Jadida (New Baghdad), an eastern district of the capital, killing at least 15 civilians and wounding over 50, a police officer said.

Another car bomb hit a main army checkpoint in Taji, just north of Baghdad, killing seven soldiers and wounding more than 20 others.

No one has claimed responsibility for attacks so far. However, such incidents mostly blamed on Daesh terrorists.
