Turkish Air Force Facing Important Crisis
MEP: Following the abortive coup d’etat and expulsion of hundreds of Turkish pilots, The Turkish Air Force is facing a crisis. Hundreds of former pilots and the retired ones have been invited to work, but only a few of them accepted the offer.
According to Al-Alam TV channel, Turkish military sources revealed that the Turkish Air Force is suffering from the lack of military pilots.
They also revealed that last September, the military headship, invited the former pilots and the retired ones to work. But the result was disappointing. Because only a few responded to it.
According to the sources, about 350 officers have been arrested and dismissed after the abortive coup d’etatl. Most of them are professionals and skilled persons. Military sources say that it’s a dangerous threat for the country’s national security.
