Three Armed Taliban Networks Arrested In Kandahar
MEP: The National Directorate of Security officers (NDS) arrested three networks-affiliated to the armed Taliban group consists of 16 members, in southern Kandahar province.
The three groups led by Sayeed Mohammad, Mullah Raaz Mohammad and Mullah Mirzaa Muhammad were detained from the surrounding areas of the province, a statement by NDS released on Sunday as saying.
These three groups consisting of 16 members, have been engaged in sabotage, bombing, assassinations of government and aggressive attacks on security posts in the districts of Dand, Arghandab, Daaman and Shawali Kot of Kandahar Province, the statement added.
The development comes as yesterday a skilled bomb-maker of the armed Taliban was arrested from Jalalabad city.
