The EU Guarantees Peace Consensus with the Taliban

The European Union has announced that it guarantees the agreement between Armed Taliban and the Afghan Government.

“My imagine is that we are still far from a consensus, but we can play the role of a guarantor in the implementation of the agreement,” said Federica Mogherini, EU foreign policy chief at the Foreign Ministers delegation; Middle East Press reported.

Mogherini continued, adding that the European Union has enough experience in this field, and is playing an adequate role in the Afghan, regional, and international community.

Meanwhile, government officials have confirmed that the European Union will guarantee it if a peace agreement is signed with the armed Taliban.

A spokesman for the Presidential ARG, Haroon Chukhansuri, told the media that the European Union has experience of guaranteeing the peace accords in various countries and as well, guarantees a peace deal with the Taliban.

Meanwhile, consultations are being held for peace with the armed Taliban and the government has also identified members of the negotiating team, and a few days later, a peace consultative Loya Jirga is set up in Kabul, following to that Doha summit will take place.
