Taliban Shadow District Governor Killed in Herat

KABUL (MEP) – Security forces clashed with Taliban in Shindand district of Herat province, resulting in dead of the group`s shadow governor for ‘Pusht-e-Koh’ district.

The clashes broke out in the Carwangah area of ​​Shindand district, Ministry of Internal Affairs today Dec. 21, said in a newsletter.

The Taliban governor for ‘Pusht-e-Koh’ district along with one of his men were killed in the crossfires, source added.

The Interior Ministry says two other Taliban fighters were also injured in the clash.

The armed Taliban have not commented so far.
