Taliban Releases Three Red Crescent Aid Workers In Sar-e-Pol

Red Crescent aid workers releasedMEP: Local officials in the northern province of Sar-e-Pol said three aid workers of Red Crescent have been released by the armed Taliban.

Zabihullah Amani, the provincial governor’s spokesman, said the Taliban freed the workers on Friday in the village of ‘Aahoye’ of Sayaad district.

Amani added the men were freed by tribal elders and authority mediation without any deal.

It is believed that newly Taliban staff from Quetta and Peshawar cities of Pakistan were allegedly involved in the abduction of the aid workers.
