Taliban financial officer in Faryab joined peace process
Faryab provincial security officials said, Mullah Amaan financial manager of the armed Taliban in Qaisar district, has stopped fighting and joined the ranks of the security forces with one of his men.
Nizamuddin Qaisari Qaisar district police chief told the Middle East Press that Mullah Amaan was one of the key figures in the Taliban lines.
He had an important role in military activities and organizing attacks in the province.
He added that the key person has surrendered himself with five Kalashnikovs and a radio to the security forces on Monday.
According to Mr Qaisari quoted Mullah Amaan, he decided to separate from the group due to the foreign countries support of Taliban.
The report comes as some of the armed Taliban in the past had also separated from the group and joined the security forces but had no positive results, and in some cases these people act as infiltrators and incur heavy blows on security forces.
