TalibanKABUL: (MEP) Taliban insurgents following an online statement, announced its summer operation under the name of ‘Omari’ across the country.  

The offensive is being launched with the approval of the leadership of the group and has been named “Omari” for the founder and the first supreme leader of the group Mullah Mohammad Omar.  

According to the statement, the Taliban insurgents declared its operation today at 5:00am throughout the country.

The group said that the operation’s organization has been launched during the three months of winter focusing detailed that the offensive would target government officials across the country.

They have warned that they will use any possible means to reach their targets and foreign troops will have to leave Afghanistan.

This comes as the fifth session of Quadrilateral Coordination Group (QCG) with representatives of Pakistan, Afghanistan, United States and China on peace process was expected to be held this month, while in the last meetings no convenient results were determined.
