Takhar’s Khwaja Ghar Cleared Of Armed Taliban

MEP: Security officials in northern Afghanistan say that as a result of joint operations by security forces in Khwaja Ghar district of Takhar province in all villages occupied by the armed Taliban have been purified and refined.

Kunduz police chief Hejratullah Akbari migration said in a statement, 25 armed Taliban members were killed, 18 others wounded and four different vehicles including a Humvee tank, two Ranger vehicles and a Saracha type vehicle belonging to the group, were completely destroyed by security forces aerial targets.

The statement adds that during joint operations in the areas of Dashti Archi district of Kunduz province that began several days ago, several villages in which 15 members of the armed Taliban have been killed.

During a separate operation that started Wednesday morning in the district of Jadid-ul-Tashkil Aqtash of Kunduz province, the security forces were also advancing and so far eight members of the armed Taliban, including one of their famous commander named Mullah Ahmad were killed, the statement further added.
