Shootings Bomb Blasts Kill and Injure over 30 across Iraq

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Terror attacks in and around the Iraqi capital city of Baghdad have left at least 17 people dead and several others wounded.

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Terror attacks in and around the Iraqi capital city of Baghdad have left at least 17 people dead and several others wounded.

The fatal incident took place on Wednesday when a car bomb went off in the Hurriya district of Baghdad, leaving nine dead and 30 others injured, Iraqi police reported.

In a separate bombing near a car park in al-Obeidi neighborhood east of Baghdad, two people were killed and seven injured.

A police patrol near Zeidan, west of the capital, stuck a roadside bomb while another exploded in Taji to the north. The blasts left four people dead.

In the meantime, gunmen carried out terror attack on a home in Jisr Diyala, a suburb on Baghdad’s southeastern edge, killed the owner of the house and his son.

No group or individual claimed responsibility for the attacks. However, Iraqi officials usually blame such assaults on the ISIL Takfiri terrorists.
